Product Description
Overview
Tungsten Balance Weight is a counterweight made from tungsten-nickel-iron or tungsten-nickel-copper alloys through powder metallurgy. It can be formed into various shapes like fasteners, plates, rods, or custom designs for different applications. In particular, fasteners balance weight and secure components in aerospace, shipbuilding, petrochemical, automotive racing, and radiation medicine, enhancing safety and service life. With over 20 years of experience as a non-ferrous metal supplier, we meet diverse customer needs and offer competitive prices. Contact us by email for inquiries.

Application
1. Aerospace
Tungsten alloy studs enable precise counterweighting within lightweight airframes, such as the dynamic balancing of engine blades. This reduces vibration amplitude during high-speed rotation, enhancing flight stability and endurance.
2. Precision Machining Equipment
Tungsten balance weights are used for balancing counterweights in CNC machine tool spindles, precision grinding wheel assemblies, and high-speed centrifuge drums. They effectively improve machining accuracy and extend equipment service life.
3. Nuclear Medicine Imaging Equipment
Suitable for balancing critical components like CT scanner gantries, MRI systems, and radiotherapy linear accelerators. Its non-magnetic properties prevent interference with magnetic fields and imaging signals, ensuring diagnostic and therapeutic accuracy.
4. Automotive Manufacturing
Tungsten Screw-In Weights are used for dynamic balancing in high-performance sports car crankshafts and turbochargers. Designed for confined engine compartments, they precisely counterbalance rotational component offsets to enhance power output efficiency.
5. Marine Engineering
Suitable for balancing ship propellers, ocean monitoring buoys, and underwater detectors.
Processing
① Mix tungsten powder (purity ≥99.9%) with binder phase powder (nickel, iron, copper, etc., 5%–15% by weight). Form into high-density, structurally uniform green compacts via pressure molding and high-temperature sintering.
② Using carbide or diamond tools, perform turning, threading, and grinding operations. The resulting outer diameter, length, head shape, and thread precision must meet customer specifications.
③ Apply surface polishing, passivation, or coating treatments to enhance surface hardness and wear resistance, thereby extending service life.
④ Comprehensive quality inspection, including full checks of dimensional accuracy, density, weight, mechanical properties, and appearance. Inspection reports are provided per customer requirements, and shipment is authorized only upon compliance.
