It’s made by tungsten heavy alloy to provide the PET shielding from delivery to injection. It consists a separated syringe shield, main body shield , head and tail shield with MAX28mm thickness tungsten shields to reduce 99% of radiation exposure from PET isotopes

PET pig units, mid section is divided into an outer shell and a standard PET injection syringe shield

The FDG Pig and the FDG Pig Holders are made of solid tungsten. The FDG Pig is use for putting the syringe into it after dose drawing .And it can be easily lifted out of the FDG Pig Holder without hand exposure.
