Product Description

Overview

99.9% Pure Titanium Crucible is usually made of high-purity titanium rods, titanium tubes or titanium powder as raw materials after a series of high-precision machining. It is mainly used for metal melting, chemical experiments, and other operations in high-temperature environments.

Advantages

  • Good high temperature performance, the melting point of titanium is as high as 1668℃, and there will be no crucible damage and material contamination caused by high temperature softening or melting.
  • Titanium can resist the erosion of media such as nitric acid, aqua regia, and molten metal at room temperature, and its service life is much longer than that of stainless steel or ceramic crucibles.
  • Good mechanical properties and high specific strength, especially suitable for lightweight requirements in the aerospace field.
  • Titanium can be processed into various complex shapes through forging, rolling, and other processes to meet the customized requirements of different customers.
  • High purity and low pollution, no impurities will be released into the material during high-temperature smelting, ensuring product purity.
  • The titanium oxide passivation film formed on the surface is wear-resistant, and the surface can still remain smooth after multiple high-temperature uses, and a low replacement frequency is low.

Application

  1. Used for vacuum melting of rare earth metals, with no chemical reaction with rare earth melts.
  2. Used for the melting and casting of nickel-based high-temperature alloys, platinum (Pt), rhodium (Rh), and other precious metals.
  3. Used for growing sapphire crystals for high-precision devices such as LED substrates and optical windows, improving the transmittance and electrical properties of sapphire.
  4. Used for zone melting growth of high-purity silicon single crystals (for chip wafers) or other semiconductor crystals.
  5. Used for performance testing of high-temperature resistant coatings or structural materials in the aerospace field, as well as vacuum melting and precision casting of titanium alloy parts.
  6. Used for melting and forming titanium alloys (such as Ti-6Al-4V ELI) for artificial joints (such as hip joints, knee joints), dental implants, etc.

Process

① Powder metallurgy: titanium powder mixing – compression molding – high temperature sintering – turning or milling (small and medium-sized crucibles)

② Forging: hot forging or hot rolling of titanium ingots at high temperatures – processing into crucible shapes through lathes, milling machines, and other equipment – annealing (high-strength crucibles)

③ Cut titanium plates or titanium tubes into round billets and polish the surface – use a spinning machine to process and shape – heat treatment to restore plasticity (thin-walled or cylindrical crucibles)
