Tungsten Heavy Alloy
-
Compared to traditional radiation shielding materials such as lead and boron carbide, tungsten alloys provide excellent density with small capacity. At the same weights high density alloy can provide the same energy absorption as lead using 1/3 less material. When the weight is certain, more density, and the thickness would be thinner. Tungsten alloy material could be made with thinner thickness but high absorption of radiation in high density. That is why tungsten alloy material is suitable for radiation shielding.

Tungsten heavy alloys are usually consisted of W-Ni- Fe or W-Ni- Cu or even W-Ni-Cu-Fe, some tungsten alloy is added Co¡¢Mo¡¢Cr, etc. It could be made as many shapes. Tungsten alloy ring are usually used as the parts of tungsten alloy industry. Especially, it could be widely made as jewelry because of its wearing resistance.

These kinds of tungsten alloy rod can be machined further into the parts of counterweights, radiation shielding, military defense appliances, welding rods, extrusion dies or radiation shielding. Some are used in sports to create darts, billets, golf club, etc. We manufacture and offer tungsten alloy rod that can be used as the substitute for Anviloy 1150, with very similar properties.
-
For transport of prepared syringes with radiopharmaceuticals, as desired in several sizes and with several shielding capacities (3, 6 mm Pb)
-
Applications include collimators for the medical industry, shielding blocks and nuclear equipment. Tungsten heavy alloy is an excellent material for use in radiation shielding (high energy photonic). Grades HA180 and HA185 are most popularly used for this application.

Static and rotating anodes in X-ray tubes (W and W-Re). For high performance tubes W-Re is preferred. These anodes are used in modern medical technology (e.g., computed tomography scanning equipment). Only the surface layer consists of W/3-10Re while the support body can be a Mo-Ti-Zr-C micro alloy, called TZM, or graphite.

Tungsten alloy strip is in small volume with high density, which means it could be used in some fields need the little but heavy parts, such as counterweights for racing car, boat, yacht; sailboat, airplane, helicopter, racket, tank, etc.

Horse’s hoof is very much like human nail. It is very fragile and has to be protected by a horseshoe. Horseshoes while protecting the hoof might also cause a horse to slip more. Especially on wet grass, snow or ice. To ensure the safety of your horse and to protect it from slipping you can use tungsten horseshoe studs.

Tungsten alloy tip is in small volume with high density, which means tungsten alloy tip could be used in some fields need the little but heavy parts, such as counterweights for racing car, boat, yacht; sailboat, airplane, helicopter, racket, tank, etc. especially, some fields concerning with precision instrument, such as mobile phone tungsten alloy vibrator, clock cube, self-winding watches, anti-vibration toll holders, flywheel weights, etc.
